Litigation
Commercial disputes require not only an understanding of legal principles but also a clear appreciation of the business objectives, commercial realities and strategic considerations underlying the dispute. Our Litigation practice represents corporates, promoters, investors, financial institutions and businesses across sectors in complex commercial, corporate, contractual and regulatory disputes before courts and tribunals in India.
Overview
We advise clients throughout the dispute lifecycle, from early-stage risk assessment and pre-litigation strategy to proceedings, settlement discussions, enforcement and execution. Our approach focuses on developing practical strategies that protect our clients’ interests while addressing the commercial and reputational considerations associated with contentious matters.
Our lawyers regularly appear before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs), consumer forums and other judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Our experience includes shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, commercial litigation, regulatory proceedings, insolvency-related matters and enforcement proceedings.
Experience
We advise clients across sectors on disputes arising from commercial contracts, corporate transactions, investments, financing arrangements, joint ventures, shareholder relationships and regulatory matters.
Our team assists clients in managing complex disputes involving contractual interpretation, breach of obligations, shareholder and management conflicts, corporate governance issues, regulatory actions and enforcement proceedings. We also advise clients on dispute avoidance by reviewing transaction structures, contractual arrangements and business practices to identify potential areas of risk and strengthen legal positions.
By combining litigation experience with a practical understanding of business objectives, we assist clients in navigating contentious situations while pursuing outcomes aligned with their commercial interests.
