Regulatory Advisory
Overview
We provide practical, commercially focused advice on a broad range of regulatory matters, including corporate and commercial laws, foreign investment, exchange control regulations, sector-specific approvals, corporate governance and ongoing compliance obligations. Our lawyers work closely with clients to identify regulatory risks at an early stage and develop solutions that facilitate business objectives while ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Our practice works closely with our Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Banking & Finance and Private Equity teams, advising on the regulatory aspects of domestic and cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings, investments, financing arrangements and strategic business initiatives.
Experience
Our team regularly advises on regulatory issues arising under the Companies Act, 2013, the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999 (FEMA), foreign direct investment (FDI) policy, SEBI regulations, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) directions and other sector-specific regulatory frameworks. We assist clients in obtaining regulatory approvals, interpreting evolving legal requirements, structuring transactions, making statutory filings and ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance.
We also advise clients on regulatory issues arising from business reorganisations, investments, commercial arrangements and cross-border transactions. By combining regulatory expertise with a practical understanding of our clients’ businesses, we provide clear, commercially pragmatic advice that enables clients to manage regulatory obligations with confidence while supporting their long-term business objectives.
